Singapore is a city close to home. Living in Jakarta, I would make frequent trips to Singapore. We would go there to enjoy the food, shop and definitely get all the Indian snacks possible from Little India. Everything kept aside, I didn’t really like Singapore till I spent one summer exploring the country. So I dedicate this blog to the first time I fell in love with this city.
I have a friend who study’s in SIM and one summer I decided to take that trip. I asked her to take some time out for me and be my tourist guide.
The first place wee went to is Gardens By the Bay. Opened to the public in 2011, Gardens by The Bay is the country’s iconic garden city. The large land holds multiple conservatories and places to see ranging from the flower dome, supertree grove, cloud forest, and the dragonfly lake. A fun fact, this place contains more than 500,000 species of plants. Isn’t that just amazing to find the most beautiful part of nature under one big roof.
