Audrey Hepburn once said Elegance is the only beauty that never fades. Elegance is not about how well you dress but how confident you are in your own skin.
As I grew up, I always wanted to be a princess. Not because of prince charming, but because like the princesses I wanted to wear a beautiful sparkly gown, get my hair done and wear a tiara on my head. Even though those things went away as I grew older, my love for long gowns and dresses still exists. Instead of going traditional, I would choose to design or buy a gown for weddings, etc. I find long dresses/gowns exciting when they are designed to bring out sophistication and elegance. I swear sometimes I really think I am born in the wrong era!
So since December is always a month full of celebrations and most Indian weddings take place at this time of the month, this blog is about what I wore to a wedding reception. When it comes to weddings, I like to wear something that may not be common. That’s when I picked up this long dress. It is not casual but it is definitely elegant. I love how the top and bottom parts of the dress contrast each other with the top part having stones while the bottom has a bright green floral print. The top part of the dress is made of velvet, while the sleeves are made of lace.I paired this outfit with a small clutch and black heels. Since the stone work on the neck makes the whole outfit, I opted out any jewelry.
