Cold Shoulder Much?

Finally there I have it!  A blog post about off-the-shoulder tops. I couldn’t miss this summer’s biggest trend, now could i? This summer exposing your shoulder is the stylish and elegant way to show some skin.

The off-the-shoulder style dates back to mid 1800s. During this time, Charles Frederick Worth, a well known designer, dominated Parisian fashion. Many of his designs of dresses included off the shoulder looks. The women during this time wore dresses where their evening attire included corsets or blouses that were off-the-shoulder with trimmings that framed their neckline.

This is one of my favorite trend this season. Off-the-shoulder tops as well as dresses allow you to show off your shoulders, a part of your body that depicts power, but yet these styles are very feminine. I think it combines sweet and sexy into one. Wouldn’t you say so? With this being one of the biggest trend this season, I styled my off-shoulder-top with skorts and wedges.

Top: Forever 21

Skorts: Wet Seal

Wedges: Aldo

I hope you all have a great week ahead!
