Up Your Sleeves Game!

“Life is too short to wear boring clothes.” And I have to say that I definitely agree. At times I start to think, why should I wear something simple when I could choose pieces of clothes that would give an edge and a wow factor to my wardrobe. The sleeves game this year has been strong. The comeback of bell sleeves, ruffled sleeves, kimono sleeves and the many other types of sleeves that we often see has created a new trend. I bet you own at least one top with those pretty bell sleeves!

The look that I created is very spring/summer. Living in a country that is hot 24/7 and 365 days a year means that it doesn’t allow you to wear sweaters or hoodies much often. Unless you actually choose to wear one and sweat like a mad man. So when I picked out this cutout sleeve sweater, I chose to be that person who chooses the looks of an outfit over comfort. No pain no gain right?

But this sweater turned out to be very light and comfortable. It is a perfect spring/summer style for anywhere you go. Since the sweater was black in color, I paired it with my bright yellow skirt to add that pop of color. I desperately needed to get out of my black, grey and white wardrobe.

Since I wore this for an evening out with friends, I paired it with a black sling bag and heels. You can pair it with jeans and sneakers to have a more comfy and relaxed look or for a night out you can pair it with black leather pants and add some sparkle.

So what’s your favorite style of sleeves? Leave some comments below!

xoxo
